Change is the only constant thing in life which is why many people tend to move from one place to another very often. If it is your first time to move from your old place to a new one, packing things early is the best thing you could do.

When packing, you will need boxes, bubbles wraps, marker pens, newspaper, packaging tape and paper. What do you need those for? These things are needed so you can keep everything organized so that when you unpack them, it will also be easy for you.

Packing is the most essential thing you should do before you even call the truck rental.

You can start by placing all the same things in one box. For instance, all your books should be in one box only. All your kitchen tools and utensils too should be placed in one box. If you are packing things such as vases, frames and other things that are breakable, it will advisable for you to wrap it with bubble wrap which you can buy in any mall. If you do not have time to do that, you can always wrap it with newspaper. Put all these things in a single box too and put a “fragile” sign or sticker that you can also buy in any mall. Once you are done, label your boxes (example, “books”, “kitchen utensils”, etc). Do not forget to put number marks on your boxes too and then jot it down on a paper. For instance, “box #1: books”, “box #2: utensils (spoon, fork, spatula, etc)”, “box #3: tools (scissors, screwdriver, hammer, etc) and so on. Not only will you be able to keep track of your things, you too can check if nothing is missing from your old place to your new house.

Once the packing is finished, gauge how much space all your boxes and appliances will take up in a truck. You can now call the truck rental company to check if they have any available truck that can fit in all your things into one travel only. If not, you can just rent another smaller truck or have two rounds. Once the truck is there, check if the truck is in good condition and if all your things are safe.

With all your things in the safe hands of the truck rental drivers, all you have to worry about is enjoying your new home!
